Sitting along the Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu is known for it’s beauty as well as being a favorite for beachgoers looking for a more toned down feel than can be found in neighbor Santa Monica. Surfers, celebrities and locals enjoy Malibu’s small town charm and isolation from the city.

 

Malibu Country Mart is a favorite to grab a bite or catch a movie when the beach is not on the agenda. The neighborhood itself is a mixture of mansions and old beach town bungalows. Pepperdine University also calls Malibu home and offers arguably one of the most beautiful college campuses in the nation. Schools are somewhat limited though there are options both elementary and high school. Homebuyers looking for a beach town escape from the city would be hard pressed to find a better option than Malibu.
